The Challenger Ventures Group professional team participated in a wide spectrum of technology and marketing challenges since 1959. Typically the CVG program effort has been asked to create leading edge solutions to previously unsolved challenges in complex unstructured challenges.

Current Programs and Initiatives

Top 50 Cattle Ranch: Working with a top 50 nationally ranked cattle ranch to create and implement financially viable programs to extend cattle operations scope and profitability in a combination of cow/calf, seedstock, and retail channel market development.

Information and Technology Management: CVG is working with strategic partners in the development and launch of a new program in Innovation and Technology Management to provide an integrated approach to ITM strategic planning, team training and project management.

Agricultural Producers On-Line Portal forum: Developing venture launch plans for strategic partnership to create and implement a unique online presence for financial information and resources to serve the specific interests of agricultural producers, ranches, groves and farms.

Regional Magazine Publisher: Assisting the senior management team of a regional magazine publisher to in the development and implementation of new programs to increase revenues in existing markets while exploring opportunities to develop a stronger market presence in the online publishing sector.

Leading Edge Technology Projects

Federal Reserve Bank of New York, New York, NY: Directed a Fortune 100 computer manufacturer’s effort to implement an industry pioneering effort to implement an automated funds transfer system serving member banks in the Federal Reserve System.

Military Simulation Training Systems, Orlando, FL: Led the manufacturing team effort to support the development, implementation and support of advanced simulation and training systems for US Army and US Navy.

Multi-market personal cellular communications marketing: Managed the ground-breaking introduction of a major wireless carrier’s market introduction of cellular communications services in major national markets.

Broadband carrier network and service offering planning; Created the venture vision and developed the business strategy to guide the development of a wireless broadband initiative for the owners of licenses for wireless spectrum issued by the FCC.

Economic Impact Assessment: Developing an economic impact assessment for a Non-Profit Organization to provide a comprehensive presentation of the value to the community

Allegheny Energy, Greensburg, PA; Assisted a major US investor owned utility in the planning for the creation and implementation of a new business venture in the unregulated telecommunications sectors. Geographic areas of interest included markets in Pennsylvania, Maryland and West Virginia.

Arizona Electric Power Cooperative, Benson, AZ: Supported regional electric cooperatives’ interest in developing new venture initiatives in unregulated telecommunications lines of business.

Hawaiian Electric, Honolulu, HA: Assisted investor owned electric utility in assessment of venture business development opportunities in the telecommunications sector with emphasis upon initiatives in broad band networks and FCC controlled licenses.

Motorola, Schaumburg, IL: Supported the Motorola mobile radio communications network programs in marketing and field sales initiatives serving the emergency, public safety and utility sectors.

Pacific Bell, Pacific Telesis, Irvine, CA: Led the marketing and sales introduction team for the introduction of cellular telecommunications services for a major US telecommunications carrier.

Perkin Elmer, Washington, DC: Managed the sales effort for a Fortune 100 technology leader’s sales and marketing effort directed to the high technology applications serving the US Department of Defense and major intelligence agencies.

Small Business Development Center, Fort Pierce, FL: Provided consulting services to SBDC at IRSC to clients looking to create new program s in marketing and revenue growth and to assist ventures in their search and negotiation for growth capital.

Utilities Telecommunication Council, Washington, DC: Provided advisory services in wireless spectrum license evaluation to member clients in the investor owned, municipal and cooperative electric utility sector. UTC engagements have typically support venture development evaluation of new telecommunications venture opportunities for clients in the investor owned, cooperative and municipal electric utilities.

Xerox, Data Systems, New York, NY: Provided marketing and sales support to the XDS team efforts serving major business clients in the financial and industrial sectors.

Challenger Ventures Group continually explores new domains that present special challenges requiring new approaches and solutions. Interest from organizations and strategic partners wishing more information on potential program participation is strongly encouraged.

CEO Roundtable: Providing client executives with an opportunity to meet with peers in their area to explore solutions to the most critical issues facing their companies.

Citrus Greening Economic Survival model: The citrus greening disease is ravaging the citrus industry. While the scientific community is racing to find an effective solution to the disease, the citrus industry has a desperate need for new tools to provide guidance in economically surviving the path to the development of a commercially available cure to the citrus greening threat.

Education Assessment and System Architecture: Challenger is actively pursuing a partnering opportunity to conduct a comprehensive assessment of a national educational system that will conclude with the design of a state of the art capability for education delivery, achievement evaluation and student counseling.

Health Care Delivery System Architecture: The turmoil in the health care sector continues for reasons lying with the inability of existing systems and proposed solutions to economically deliver the required outcomes to the stakeholder community. The CVG health care initiative is exploring the implications of a comprehensive network consumer focused solution outcomes and economically grounded innovation.
